Newport Symphony Orchestra’s Annual July 4th Concert this Thursday! It’s a Newport all American tradition and it returns this Thursday when the Newport Symphony Orchestra at the Ocean presents their annual free July 4th community concert at 4:00pm at the Newport Middle School gym.
Music Director and Maestro Adam Flatt present a rousing concert including Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, John Philip Souza’s Liberty Bell, Woody Guthrie’s This Land is Your Land, George M. Cohan’s Star Spangled Spectacular, a Mary Poppins Medley and much more. Plus the orchestra’s salute to our armed forces!
Once again the July 4th Concert will be preceded by an all American old fashioned hamburger BBQ from 2:30pm – 4:00pm in the Newport Middle School Commons! Come early and enjoy awesome barbecue provided by Pat E. Mac’s BBQ. It’s only $10 Adults, $5 kids, and the taste is out of this world!

The Newport Symphony’s summer season concludes on Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14 when Adam Flatt conducts the Newport Symphony Orchestra at the Ocean with internationally-known singer Halie Loren. Her repertoire will feature songs old and new, including Summertime, Sway, and Blue Skies, plus her own compositions Danger in Loving You, Butterfly and In Time.
Performances at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13 and 2 p.m. Sunday, July 14. Tickets for reserved seats cost $28 (plus fees) for adults and $10 for students.
