The Oregon Coast Children’s Theatre/ Oregon Coast Children’s Center for the Arts is announcing final registration for its upcoming Animation/Theatre/Puppetry/and Video workshops. Students work in “Toy Theatre” to present a short children’s story, learn puppetry and animation techniques, and theatrical design. In the final stages of the workshops they video tape their work which then can be used for their own portfolio. Some students will have the opportunity to create their own story into a short animation. This is an introduction workshop for students 4th grade through 12th grade. The registration night will be on Wednesday July 10th at 4:00p.m. at the Oregon Coast Children’s Center for the Arts located at the Olalla Center at the old Mary Harrison Elementary School on 3rd street in Toledo, Oregon. Workshops are free to Oregon Coast Youth thanks to foundation support including the Oregon Cultural Trust, Lincoln County Cultural Coalition, Sponenburgh Memorial Trust, East County Community Partnership & the Flowerree Foundation as well as other supporters.
