NOTICE OF VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The City of Lincoln City is accepting applications for the below listed boards and committees volunteer positions. An application is available at www.lincolncity.org, “Boards and Committees”, or contact:

Urban Renewal Plan Advisory (Ad-Hoc) Committee – Lincoln City Council directed staff to move forward with creating two new urban renewal plans. An ad-hoc advisory committee is needed for this project. The advisory committee will meet approximately three times over the course of the year and it will involve several open houses. The committee will terminate upon completion of the task – either with adoption or rejection of an Urban Renewal Plan for the Roads End/Villages area.
Driftwood Public Library Board (Meets the 1st Wednesday of each month)
Provides and makes accessible to all residents of the City, library and information services. Must be a City resident, reside in the Urban Growth Boundary, and there is also a position open for a high school student who lives in the Lincoln County School District – North area.
Sustainability Committee (Meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month)
Implemented the 2012 Walking and Biking Plan to improve facilities for alternative transportation and recreation. Looking for citizens interested in continuing this work and other sustainability efforts. Must reside in the City or Urban Growth Boundary.
Transient Lodgings Tax Review Committee (Meets in January and as needed for appeals)
Hears and determines appeals of orders or decisions of the Tax Administrator. Positions available are a City resident and business owner or operator with financial, bookkeeping, or accounting experience; a City resident and motel owner or operator; or a City resident.
Visitor and Convention Committee (Meets the 3rd Tuesday of every other month)
Created to improve the marketing of the tourist industry in the city. The committee is advisory to the City Council and Explore Lincoln City. Volunteer positions are available for a City Resident or business owner.
