Toledo Shines During First Weekend
Toledo will be the main feature for the town’s First Weekend Art celebration on April 6th & 7th in the exhibition of “The Toledo Show” at the Yaquina River Museum of Art.
The Yaquina River Museum of Art has carefully curated a new art show from their permanent art collection now displayed along the walls of the organization’s Schoolhouse Exhibit space that features various scenes from the streets of Toledo. Over ten artists depict the Americana town in their own style, enlightening viewers to the charming soul of Toledo. The Yaquina River Museum of Art strives to preserve, make public and promote an appreciation of the artistic expressions of the dedicated accomplished artists who have drawn their inspiration from the land and people of the Yaquina River watershed.

On Graham Street, artist Ivan Kelly will be displaying “Winter Fox”, an oil depicting the elusive Red Fox against a dramatic snowy winter backdrop. Along Main Street, Frank Jones will be displaying his landscape and urban photography, as well as his photo cards at Francyfolk Photos & Music. Francyfolk Photos and Music, located at 227 South Main Street, will be open from 10 am to 4 pm both days.
Further down Main Street, Janet Runger will be showcasing her unique assemblage art at Crow’s Nest Gallery & Studio. Art lovers will have the opportunity to peruse her popular magnets, cards, and original works of art. Crow’s Nest Gallery & Studio, located at 170 North Main Street, will be open from 10AM-5PM on Saturday and Sunday.
