* There is an increased threat for sneaker waves along the beaches Sunday afternoon through Monday afternoon as a building long-period northwest swell builds in the coastal waters. This swell will produce energetic waves that will likely rise further up on the beach than expected. These wave run-ups will likely be strong enough to move large logs littered on the beaches or possibly knock a person off their feet. The waves will not necessarily look large from the beach which is why these energetic seas could catch people on the beaches or on coastal jetties and cliffs off guard.
Weekend Travel: Dry highways in the Valley, Gorge, Coast Range and Cascades through tonight, the free air freezing level 6,000′-7,500′.
