Can’t make it to Portland for the Breast Cancer Issues Conference on Saturday? Watch it via live simulcast here in Newport
The annual Breast Cancer Issues Conference in Portland takes place on Saturday, March 16, and you can attend without leaving Newport.
The conference will be broadcast by way of a live simulcast as the conference occurs, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Center for Health Education, 740 SW Ninth Street in Newport.
Attendance is free, but registration is required by calling 541-574-4954 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Topics being discussed at the conference include hormone therapy for breast cancer, new methods in breast reconstruction, genetic testing and surgical implications. Also, keynote speaker, Dawn Hershman, MD, of Columbia University Medical Center will discuss how comorbidities increase risk during breast cancer treatment, and how nonadherence to medications impacts treatment outcomes and toxicity development.
