Engine failure cuts short a tourist tour of Depoe Bay

A full tour boat was rescued near the entrance to Depoe Bay Sunday afternoon. The excursion trip, perhaps for some whale watching, was cut short when the tour boat’s big engine decided to turn-in early. And they couldn’t restart it. So the Coast Guard ran out there, hooked them up and towed’em back inside the harbor.

Fishing at the Jaws at Depoe Bay…doesn’t look too awfully safe – especially if they get a big fish on the line.
