March 9, at 6:30pm the Logsden Community Club will host two informational presentations in conjunction with their monthly potluck. Staff of Bright Horizons Therapeutic Riding Center, located near Siletz, will give an overview of the facility, its purpose and its benefits to the community.
Bright Horizons exists to improve the physical and emotional wellbeing of individuals and their families through therapeutic equestrian activities built on professionalism and trust with a focus on community education, communication and teamwork.
Following the presentation by Bright Horizons, Allison Blair, Community Wild Fire Forester with the Oregon Department of Forestry will gave a firewise talk on a subject that concerns us all during the dry summer months, namely forest fires.
Everyone is welcome to attend these informative presentations, visit with old friends, make new friends, and bring a dish to enjoy the potluck. It is widely known that there are no bad cooks in Logsden, so you will enjoy the bounty.
The Logsden Community Club donates a portion of its’ profits back to the community including the Siletz Valley Volunteer Firefighters.
The Logsden Community Center, located at the junction of the Logsden/ Siletz Highway and Moonshine Park Road, is available to rent and is a wonderful location for local gatherings including weddings, family reunions, memorials and other celebrations.
