Travel: A Special Weather Statement has been issued by the National Weather Service for much of Northwest Oregon, including the Central Coast. Areas of light snow this morning will result in accumulations generally of an inch or less for low elevations. Although any accumulations will be light, it will still be enough to cause slick roads and dangerous driving conditions through the morning commute. Be careful. Slow down and give yourself extra time to reach your destination.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been posted for the Southern Willamette Valley, including Eugene, Springfield, Corvallis, Albany and Lebanon, in effect until 10:00am this morning. Snow mixed with freezing drizzle. Additional snow accumulations of up to one inch. Ice accumulations less than a tenth of an inch. Plan on slick road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning commute. A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads, limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
