Oregon Coast Honey Lovers Festival, Saturday, Feb. 9, in YACHATS!!

Oregon Coast Honey Lovers Festival in Yachats

On Saturday, February 9, grab your honey and head over to the Oregon Coast Honey Lovers Festival in Yachats. Most of the daytime events will be held at the Yachats Commons from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is $5/person; children 12 years and under are Free. The festival will offer the opportunity to taste a variety of locally produced honeys and meads, as well as a chance to learn about attracting pollinators to the garden, beekeeping, and bee species and behaviors.

Jeffrey Warren, one of the festival’s presenters, says, “The time has never been more important for consumers, young and old and everyone in between, to attain more understaning about our pollinators. We have come a great distance in learning about where our food comes from (why not honey?) and how it finds its way to your table.”
