A High Surf Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for the Central Coast, which is in effect until 3:00pm this afternoon. Seas 18 to 22 feet with a dominant period of 15 seconds. Breakers around 25 feet. Stay out of the surf zone. Do not walk or climb on jetties, rocks, or low coastal cliffs as it will be hazardous. Large drift logs and other floating debris could be hidden in the surf zone, and could be tossed onto the beach or rocks will little to no warning. A High Surf Advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in the advisory area, producing rip currents and localized beach erosion.
