Oregon to add “smokey” to the brews, reds and whites

Oregon is taking steps to export Oregon grown marijuana to other states. The mere thought of it is creating a fire-storm of criticism.

Exporting intoxicants like gourmet Oregon beer and wine might trigger Oregon exports of Oregon-grown marijuana. The abundance of the legal weed in Oregon has reportedly pushed down prices for the leisure drug and so growers and distributors are eyeing other states that lack the ability to grow their own, or at least meet local demand. Hence Oregon’s interest in siphoning off a possible uptick in revenue from interstate trade.
