Between rain drops Newport honors trees and all the good things they do for us and Mother Earth.
The Newport Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee and Newport Tree Board this week honored trees in general and one tree in particular during a tree planting and reading of their 2018 Arbor Day Proclamation. Nancy Steinberg, the chair of the Committee the proclamation as noted below in between impressive rain storms. The tree will be officially planted in the ground when the weather clears.
