Firefighters Return Home From California Fire
It will be a Happy Thanksgiving for many Oregon Firefighters families.
Sunday, six Oregon Teams from across the state were demobilized from the “Camp Fire” that erupted with deadly force on November 8th. The remaining Oregon teams, with the exception of two, will be demobilized later today according to Oregon State Fire Marshal’s (OSFM) Public Information Officer, Kristen Schafer.
Our team left California yesterday around noon, and returned safely back in Lincoln County after 10:00pm.
The “Camp Fire” is now 66% contained, the death toll has risen to 77. The Camp Fire is already the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California history with 993 people still unaccounted for.
There a chance of rain midweek and much higher humidity is forecasted for the region.
Thank you all for your support, we’re glad to have our firefighters back safely.
