Newport Fire Chief Rob Murphy just put out an announcement that if you see what looks like a fire, or series of fires near the 10th Street Fire Station, it’s only a drill. It’s fire training for firefighters. So if you see flames in that direction, know that it’s real flames but they’re just part of an education exercise for Newport Firefighters.
