The Yachats Celtic Music Festival opens for its 18th year on Friday November 9th at the Yachats Commons, and other venues around town. The Festival will continue through the weekend ending Sunday Nov. 11. Plans include day and night time events offering , concerts, dances, stories, talks, whisky tastings, workshops, vendors, jam sessions, the sunset ‘Piper on the Point’, plus surprises, with a variety free and paid activities scheduled.
The early Friday noon opening creates an opportunity to enjoy live music and have a Celtic inspired snack or beverage before the afternoon concerts begin. All ages are welcome at most events. The festival’s success is based on local support through sponsorships, publicity, hundreds of donated volunteer hours, and Celtic Music lovers who attend the shows. The YCMF is produced by Polly Plumb Productions, a Yachats based non-profit. http://pollyplumb.org/
