Letter to the Editor:
GOEBEL FOR MAYOR
Eligible voters need to get involved and participate this coming election. Stop complaining about the issues and do something to make a difference. You have a chance to make a difference by voting for Goebel. Goebel is fit to lead and has the experience to prove it.
Goebel understands small business because he is a successful local private business owner and has operated in this community for over 30 years. Goebel understands the family priorities of the area because he and his wife have raised a family in this community.
Goebel understands the importance of clear communication, transparency and accountability because he deals with these issues professionally in the private sector daily; answering to clients, contractors and bureaucrats.
Having been so deeply involved in the construction industry Goebel understands the importance of a strong and healthy infrastructure and that neglecting an infrastructure only passes the compounding burden to the hands of future generations at a premium price.
Goebel understands civic duties, processes and formats having served over a decade on various local boards of public entities and organizations. These attributes are not easily acquired; they are instilled through years of experience in a competitive environment.
These are all favorable attributes for a Mayor. The enduring success and continued involvement of Dietmar Goebel in this community serve as a testament that he possesses these attributes.
I urge you, this 6th of November, to vote for a local long-time small business owner, father, grandfather, husband, family man, civic minded community member and obvious choice for The City of Newport’s Mayor: Dietmar Goebel.
