Oregon Secretary of State diagnosed with brain cancer
Secretary of State Dennis Richardson, who has had his eyes on the governorship for a long time, has learned he’s got brain cancer which might get in the way of his political dream come true.The Portland Oregonian reports that Richardson is in the hospital and is undergoing chemotherapy in hopes of eradicating the cancer that was thought behind his recent reported lapses of memory and the lessening of his high mental energy.
Some of Richardson’s duties have been taken over by his senior staff while Richardson receives treatment. No official word yet on Richardson’s prognosis.
