Newport – Have some of your perennials stopped blooming? Are your plants too big or overgrown? Dead in the centers? They could be candidates for dividing to keep them healthy and produce better flowers and foliage.
Cathi Block and Ann Geyer, Lincoln County Master Gardeners, will demonstrate different techniques for dividing clumping plants to reinvigorate blooming and produce additional plants. Everyone will have a chance to try dividing and to take home some new plants.
The event is set for Oct 11 from 9:30 to 11:30 at Oregon Coast Community College, South Beach Campus outside in the Master Gardener demonstration garden. Dress appropriately, especially footwear.
Call the LCMGA office at 541-574-6534, ext. 57410 or go to orcoastmga.org/roundtable to reserve a seat. Your RSVP ensures adequate seating and handouts. Attendance is free but donations to offset facility fees are welcome.
