Across the street Gallery Michael Gibbons will be featuring “LONG LIGHT OF AUTUMN” oil 10″x 12″ by Michael Gibbons, artist living and working in Toledo, shows a small barn along Highway 20 midway between Toledo and Philomath. Gibbons has always been drawn to depicting the history of the county and this is the 40th painting of the year 2005 that he completed while always choosing to work en plein air (outdoors on location and not using photographs). A painting of dark and light contrasts, the viewer sees an intriguing part of a small farm and relates to life in the Coast Range. The artist invites you to see “LONG LIGHT OF AUTUMN” at Gallery Michael Gibbons, 140 NR Alder St., from 11:AM to 5:PM on Saturday and Noon to 5:00PM on Sunday. On the corner at 207 E. Graham Street, Ivan Kelly Studio and Gallery will be welcoming visitors and featuring his painting “Moonshine Colors, Secret Pool”, 12 x 14 oil. The gorgeous colours of Fall call to artist Ivan Kelly: Local Moonshine Park provides lovely colors and textures for the artist to capture with oil on canvas.
Ivan was honored to be awarded “Best of Show” during the 5th annual Plein Air Show Competition and Sale during the 25th annual Toledo Art Walk. Ivan Kelly Studio-Gallery will be open Saturday, 11am – 5pm, and Sunday, 12 – 5pm. Meet with artist Ivan Kelly, enjoy fine art and light refreshments.
Galleries lining Main Street will be open to art-lovers with a diverse range of art. Francyfolk Photos and Music, located at 227 South Main Street, will be showing the photography of Frank Jones as he serenades guests with his guitar. A continued large representation of the art of Bob Coghill (deceased artist from Siletz; abstract style art) is up and available. Francyfolk will be open from 10AM-4PM on Saturday and Sunday.
Gallery Briseño, 355 Main Street, will continue to feature the works of the late Sam Briseño as well as photography by Scott Blackman, artisanal crafts by Sandy Blackman, and fairy houses by John Crawford. Gallery Briseño will be open from 10AM-6PM on Saturday and Sunday.
Janet Runger will be showing her carefully crafted and distinctly original assemblage art at Crow’s Nest Gallery and Studio at 170 North Main Street on Saturday and Sunday 10:am-5:pm.
