A house concert for Milo Graamans on Sept. 23 at 2 pm at a home at 2879 Old River Road, Siletz 97380.
Local pianist Milo Graamans grew up in Yachats and started taking piano lessons at the age of 4 through the Oregon Music Teachers Association. Milo studied music at the University of Oregon in 2011, but then returned to the coast to finish his musical, “She Loves Me Not”, and to pursue performance opportunities.
In addition to performing his own concerts several times a year, Milo is the organist and choir director at Yachats Community Presbyterian Church and the accompanist for Central Coast Chorale in Newport and the Oregon Coast Community College chorus class. He also plays regularly in pit orchestras for community theatre.
Milo performed multiple times at Four Seasons Arts’ Yachats Music Festival, and sometimes plays with the Lincoln Pops Orchestra. At the house concert Milo will provide a lively program including classical, ragtime, and original compositions.
The venue features a 9 foot concert grand piano. Admission is by donation. Those interested in attending should email John Lupton at firstname.lastname@example.org.
