Is your garden looking a bit tired and boring? Now is a great time to introduce new plants to energize and revitalize your garden landscape.
Lincoln County Master Gardener Heather Fortner will lead a roundtable to share information about the wide, wonderful world of ornamentals that work well in Oregon coastal gardens on September 13th from 9:30 to 11:30 at Oregon Coast Community College, South Beach Campus, Room 151.
Heather has been tending her own gardens for more than 20 years. “I’m not able to work in the garden every day, but I’m always planning what’s next and looking out for interesting plants to add in somewhere,” she says. Heather, who is also an accomplished artist, is an expert in creating colorful, textural plant compositions. Her garden is often opened to gardeners and she generously shares her plant knowledge whenever she can.
Call the LCMGA office at 541-574-6534, ext. 57410 or go to orcoastmga.org/roundtable to reserve a seat. Your RSVP ensures adequate seating and handouts. Attendance is free but donations to offset facility fees are welcome.
