After years of being battered by winter storms, the Lincoln City City Council has approved $450,000 to make needed repairs on the Taft Dock. Bergerson Construction, out of Astoria has been awarded the contract to do the work.
The project will start Monday, September 17th and will be closed to the public through November 9th.
The project includes upgrading the Taft Dock by replacing 2 piles, replacing the substructure beneath the deck, installing 1,960 board-feet of 2×6 and 6,350 board-feet of plastic lumber for decking and rails, bring the dock up to ADA standards and other safety standards.
There will be a community dock information meeting on Wednesday, September 12th at the Taft 51st Street Park (the picnic shelter at the west end of SW 51st), from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. There will be City officials there to answer your questions about the project.
