In a time when we are scrambling to make a difference by attending meetings, writing letters, signing petitions, speaking to our legislators and praying for solutions to climate change we can become exhausted and in need of a recharge to our mind, body and spirit.
With that in mind 350 Oregon Central Coast and the Citizens Climate Lobby are offering a reprieve from the hard work. On September 8th we will be joining in on the international Rise For Climate Day with a celebration of renewal and empowerment.
We will be gathering at 3 PM in the South Beach Community Center (3024 SE Ferry Slip Rd. South Beach, Or. 97366) to cheer each other on with a community potluck, art-build and open mic. It’s all about fun, so bring your favorite prepared dish, sign and poster making stuff (some materials will be provided if you have none), your voice and instruments, or just come and enjoy.
Its a family affair for the entire community of the caring. After the festival we will take our signs to the corner of HWY’s 101 and 20 to show our support for Mother Earth. 180 countries will be participating and demonstrating their concern and love of our planet.
All are welcome, please invite a friend or neighbor to the party! Hope to see you there!
