As part of the annual Toledo Art Walk on Labor Day weekend in Toledo, the Toledo Art Guild will host a three-day art sale at the Toledo Union Hall, 138 N. 1st St., Toledo, Saturday through Monday, Sept. 1 to 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
During the sale, Guild members will also demonstrate art techniques every hour on the hour from noon to 3 p.m. each day.
Artwork from more than 14 Guild members will be offered for sale, including beaded jewelry by Anja Chavez; fused glass by Alice Haga; photography by Sylvia Hosie; shell art by Valerie Jacobi; wearable art by Kay Klose; oil and acrylic paintings by Wrenna Monet; glass mosaic by Karel Murphy; oil painting by Gina Nielsen; mixed media by Jennifer Norman; oil and acrylic paintings by Erin Price; mixed media by Tricia Schug; pottery by Martha Wallace; photography by Dennis White; and paper art by Sheila Wray. There will also be a Guild Members’ Table with offerings by additional members.
Throughout the three day-event, Guild artists will be giving demonstrations that are free and open to all. Artist demonstrations will include techniques such as micro-mosaic jewelry, Gelli plate printing, felting, paper beads, acrylic poured ink, nature-oriented cast paper, origami and soldering wire sculpture. Artist talks will explore how to improve your snapshots, how to take travel photos that offer lasting memories, and the life and work of renowned metal sculptor, Sam Briseno.
Sandwiches and other lunch items will be available for purchase from Always Tea Time Catering.
The Toledo Art Guild was formed in 2010 by a group of local artists from the Toledo area encompassing all forms of artistic expression. Today, with 36 members, the Guild has expanded to include members from all over Lincoln County.
