Neighbors For Kids adds new vehicles to the program!
Neighbors For Kids (NFK) is pleased to announce it has purchased two 2018 Ford Transit Vans for their program in Depoe Bay! After successful fundraising, NFK is on their way to overcoming their transportation barrier. With the recent purchase of new vehicles they can now provide safe, reliable transportation to their site year-round, greatly expanding access to their programs and services. NFK will provide rides for local youth who attend the after school, summer program and preschool, as well as those attending off-site field trips to take part in fun and educational experiences.
NFK purchased the new vehicles thanks to generous grant funding received from the USDA Rural Development Community Facilities program and M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, as well as individual contributions from community members. The friendly staff at Power of Newport worked with NFK to find the perfect vehicles that fit the organization’s needs and budget.
NFK is excited to move their mission forward with the addition of year-round transportation and the non-profit looks forward to the many opportunities that these vehicles will bring.
