Nikolaus Hinton’s death: Homicidal Violence, then body dumped at Agate Beach Wayside where it would surely be discovered.
Newport Police have determined that Nikolaus Hinton died of homicidal violence.
On Friday, August 17th, Newport Police were called to a reported suspicious death at the Agate Beach wayside in Newport. Responding officers located the body of 29 year old Nikolaus Hinton of Newport. An autopsy was conducted by the Oregon State Medical Examiner’s office, and it was determined that Hinton died of homicidal violence. The Lincoln County Major Crime was activated on Friday and has been following up on leads regarding the manner and reason Hinton was murdered. Investigators believe that Hinton was murdered at a different location and his body had been left at the Agate Beach wayside.
Hinton was a fish processing worker down on the Newport Bayfront.
