Road work to result in intermittent delays on Forest Service Road 5800 (Boundary Road) and 3462 (Canal Creek Road) beginning August 27

Road repairs will soon be underway on Forest Service Roads (FSR) 5800 (Boundary Road) and 3462 (Canal Creek Road). Work will begin on August 27th and last approximately through September 28th. Intermittent delays are expected while repair operations are in progress. FSR 5800 is located 13.2 miles east of Waldport off Hwy 34 and FSR 3462 is located 7.0 miles east of Waldport off Hwy 34.
Repair efforts will begin first on FSR 5800 and last for approximately 2 weeks. When that is complete, work will continue on FSR 3462. Work will be performed Monday through Thursday beginning at 8 am and ending at 5 pm with a break in activity from 12 pm to 1 pm.
No repair work will take place Friday through Sunday.
Residents will have access during this time but are being asked to prepare for variable delays. Repair sites will typically change throughout the day to focus on numerous locations along each road. Intermittent asphalt paving will also be performed along the work sites and other areas of the roads needing repair.
On FSR 5800, traffic will be impacted from MP 0.0 (junction with Hwy 34) to MP 5.1 (junction with FSR 5860). On FSR 3462, traffic will be impacted from MP 0.0 (junction with Hwy 34) to MP 3.8 (junction with FSR 5860).
The public is encouraged is use an alternative route to access the area.
During work on FSR 5800, take FSR 3462 for 3.8 miles to FSR 5860 for 2.6 miles to FSR 5800. During work on FSR 3462, take FSR 5800 for 5.1 miles to FSR 5860 for 2.6 miles to FSR 3462.
