Newport City Councilor David Allen has filed for re-election

Newport City Councilor David Allen has decided to seek a fourth term on the city council. It was a brief announcement. He said “more to follow.”
Meanwhile, City Councilor Mark Saelens notified the council through a letter that he will not be filing for re-election. Saelens is known to be a very busy person with various projects. He’s very involved in solid waste issues for the county along with his own lumber processing company.
