From: Ride for Recovery
The Ride was a huge success, we raised $3366.00 for Lincoln County Drug and Hope Court clients, this is the most we have raised to date, and it is the 8th year of Ride For Recovery. A very special and sincere thank you to all of our local businesses who donated because without our donors this would not be possible. I want to give a special thank you for all the help from everyone involved in the ride yesterday, there is no way one person could do such a special event, thanks to Lincoln County Mentors, ReConnections Counseling, Confederated Tribe of the Siletz Indians, C.H.A.N.C.E, Alky Angels Sunset and Sunrise Chapters, South Beach Church and all of the riders, thanks to Lincoln City Police Department, everyone who came to eat and all those who helped at the park. And a very special thanks to my wonderful wife, Lori Leake- Smith, our daughters, our son and along with all our grandchildren who helped, with all of you this event became very special. Let’s not forget my mother in law, Frances Leake who opened her house and property up for the out of town riders to stay overnight and camp out. There were so many individuals involved in making this event special that if I missed anyone thank you too. We look forward to next year.
