Boat in a yard on fire off Wakonda Beach Road – North of Waldport

A boat fire caused some tense moments at a home at 5141 SW Flansberg Road, off Wakonda Beach Road. Caller to 9-1-1 said it was going to be getting up in to the trees.

Arriving firefighters from Central Coast Fire-Rescue reports that the fire had not yet extended in to the trees. Firefighters quickly attacked the fire.

Firefighters say the fire is out and they are mopping up.
