Krissy Sonniksen Shares Historical Society Resources with Genealogists
On Saturday, July 14, Krissy Sonniksen, Curator of the Lincoln Society Historical Society, speaking at the Lincoln County Genealogical Society meeting, will review the resources in their archives that could be of value to those seeking information about their ancestors.
Krissy Sonniksen, a native of Oregon, received her BA in Art History at the University of Oregon and went on to obtain a Post-Graduate Degree at the University of Edinburgh.
The Lincoln County Historical Society, located in Newport, was founded in 1948. Its goals are to preserve, publish and educate; its library houses thousands of photographs, documents, maps and records, local and regional.
Her presentation will be held at the Toledo Public Library (Downstairs Meeting Room), 173 NW Seventh Street, 10 am – 11:30 am. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and snacks will be provided.
The Lincoln County Genealogical Society reaches out to encourage and instruct members in research, sharing, compiling and publishing genealogical materials. Membership is open to anyone interested in genealogy and history. The public is invited to attend and participate.
