It will come as a shock to many Newport area residents and businesses that a well known local security company owner is in the Lincoln County Jail booked on charges of felony second and misdemeanor third degree sexual abuse.
Michael Goff, owner of TCB Security, Newport, was arrested earlier today following a grand jury indictment on the charges. Goff is awaiting a pre-trial hearing and remains in the Lincoln County Jail on $65,000 bond.
Just the day before a former Newport Police Sergeant, Brad Purdom, was arrested on three felony counts of sexual abuse of a minor. The OSP news release indicates that the two cases are related by a common male victim.
