OCCC Choir to Perform on June 12
The Oregon Coast Community College Chorus Class will present their final concert for the Spring term and the school year on Tuesday, June 12 at 12:00 noon in the Commons of the Central County Campus in Newport. Under the direction of Music Instructor, Dr. Mary Lee Scoville, the class will perform two Renaissance Madrigals, “Fair Phyllis” by John Farmer and “April Is in My Mistress’ Face” by Thomas Morley; the class will also be singing an arrangement of Emily Dickinson’s “Will there Ever Be a Morning?” set to music by Victor C. Johnson; a wonderful text by Euan Tait and set to music by Kim Andre’ Arnesen called “Flight Song”; “Mr. Bean” by Howard Goodall; a surprise song; and ending their concert with a spirited “Oye La Musica” by Jay Althouse.
The public is cordially invited to attend in support of OCCC and the Chorus Class. Cookies and Punch will be served after the Concert.
