Quilt auction and sale to benefit Samaritan Pacific Hospice patients and their families
Samaritan Pacific Hospice will hold a quilt sale on Tuesday, April 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Education Conference Room at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital. Sale proceeds will help provide services to enhance care for patients in hospice.
“We have dozens of handmade quilts crafted by intermediate to advanced quilters from guilds throughout the county,” said Sherrie Flinn, volunteer coordinator for Hospice. “Shoppers will be able to bid on quilts and buy some as priced. We will also raffle off a beautiful quilt wall hanging for just $1 a ticket.”
Hospice is raising money to help provide services for patients and their families that are not covered by Medicare, such as music therapy and massage to soothe patients, and gas vouchers, phone bill assistance and travel vouchers for family members of patients.
Samaritan Pacific Hospice serves approximately 40 to 50 patients a month.
