“Vote To Retain Judge Thomas Branford”
To the Editor:
Fortunately, most people never need the services of a lawyer and never need to go to court, but the public still needs to make an informed choice in the upcoming election for Lincoln County Circuit Court Judge. The only choice is to vote to retain Judge Thomas O. Branford.
Judge Branford is the presiding judge of our local court. He has almost 30 years of experience serving the public as a judge in this county. He not only manages his fellow judges and court staff, he still takes the time to be prepared for every hearing or trial that comes before him, to consider the court filings, testimony, and evidence, and to issue careful and deliberate rulings and opinions.
The Lincoln County court’s caseload is about 75% criminal matters and 25% civil law matters. Judge Branford has the experience to handle both types of cases, drawing not only on his substantial time on the bench, but also on his work as a prosecutor and an attorney in private practice.
Judge Branford treats each person in his courtroom with respect and dignity, and he works to ensure equal access to justice and to protect the constitutional rights of criminal defendants and crime victims. He is patient, professional, and courteous to everyone who appears before him.
Your vote to re-elect Judge Branford is necessary to protect the integrity of our Lincoln County Circuit Court.
