REELECT Judge Thomas O Branford
We are now one step closer to the May 15th election to select a Circuit Court Judge for position #3 of the Oregon 17th Judicial District. I’m excited about the opportunity to be a part of that process.
Before casting your vote please consider the qualities that should be identified and then sought after before selecting a Circuit Court Judge. As you are aware, judges play many roles, they interpret the law, assess the evidence presented, and control how hearings and trails unfold in their courtrooms. To perform their duties, they must possess the ability to apply legal rules, analyze procedures to different facts and circumstances, to quickly perceive, comprehend, understand new concepts and ideas, and to have the courage and willingness to do what the law requires although the decision may be an unpopular one.
Most important of all, judges must be impartial decision makers in the pursuit of justice.
As the former Chief of Police for the City of Toledo, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Judge Branford on many occasions and feel qualified to say the candidate best suited for this position is our current Circuit Court Judge, Tom Branford. I strongly believe that he continues to meet and exceed all the necessary requirements for Circuit Court Judge, and over the past 30 years he has demonstrated the ability to do just that. He is a man of high integrity and intense dedication to the people and his office. You can be assured that he will approach his next term with the same intensity.
If you believe as I do, then you believe in the re-election of a skilled, experienced, time proven candidate, Judge Thomas O Branford for Circuit Court Judge.
