Toledo Police are running a pedestrian and bicycle safety operation in Toledo March 30th. The “test zone” will be the intersection of NE Burgess and Business 20.
Toledo Police Chief David Enyeart says police officers, dressed in civilian clothes, will be crossing Business 20 in the crosswalk as well as NE Burgess in the crosswalk. Uniformed officers will be monitoring how motorists treat pedestrians at this intersection. Those who don’t adequately yield to pedestrians run the risk of getting an expensive ticket. And it pertains to pedestrian crossings with marked as well as UNMARKED corner crossings.
March 30th. NE Burgess and Business 20. But, to be clear, everyday is safety day at all other crossings as well.
