PLEASE GET YOUR DOG VACCINATED AGAINST THE CANINE FLU!!
We love our town and the animals we care for. For this reason, we’re all banding together to get the word out: This dog flu is no joke. It’s very contagious. It spreads like wildfire- but worse, because it can live on your clothing for 24 hours!! So, even if your dog never leaves it’s home, you can bring it home with you!! Protect your pet, for the good of every dog in Lincoln County.
We live on one of Oregon’s main arteries, Highway 101. This flu will be here SOON. There is already one confirmed case in Grants Pass, an outbreak in Reno, an outbreak in the San Franciosco Bay Area, and a confirmed case in Boise. Guess where all those states families like to travel to for Spring Break…? That’s right, OUR beaches. All it takes is one infected, but non-symptomatic dog to say hello to your pup, and quietly, the fuse is lit.
80-100% of dogs that come in contact with this virus become infected. It means veterinary treatment, and a strict quarantine if your dog becomes ill. If your dog is senior, or has a compromised immune system, it can be fatal.
Please. For the good of ALL our canine friends, schedule an appointment TODAY to protect your pet, your neighbor’s pet, my pets, your manager’s pet… really. Just do it for the good of all.
We don’t care where you go to get your dog vaccinated. This is not about a clinic or a kennel making money. This is about preventing the outbreak HERE, in our little town. Let’s be proactive, and get this done before it’s too late!!
