Oregon House democrats pass bill to create Universal Health Care in Oregon – But can it get approved by the Senate to become law due to its cost?
The democrats in the Oregon House of Representatives have passed a proposal, and if it also passes the Senate, would usher in Medicare for All – Universal Health Care for all Oregonians. But critics, some in the Senate which would have to also endorse it, wonders where the money would come from if the medical initiative becomes a mandate of the Oregon Constitution. Some say the state can barely pay its bills as it is without adding expensive medical coverage to the pile.
