On Jan 19th 2018 the world lost an amazing man. My father Steven Craig Lamica. He was 54 years old when he passed in our family home.
My dad was a major part of my life. Anyone who knew him knew how much he loved his grandbabies. He would always tell me every day that he would be lost if he did not have them. My dad was a contractor for many years – owned Lamica Roofing here in Waldport and he prided himself with his work. But he always found time to spend with his loving family.
He was a major Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed going yearly to the games with his grandsons Conner Hayden Lamica, and Collyn Lawrence- John Lamica. My dad had very fun times with both his grandsons which included vacations for their birthdays and just walking from my house to his in their wagon. He also loved picking blackberries and building the boys’ swing set with them.
I spent every day of my life talking to him or spending time with him. He was a very loving and devoted father and always put his kids first ( He would hardly ever tell us no!).
My dad had such a love for life and cared about everyone he came in contact with. He could talk your ear off and could talk to anyone. He inspired a lot of people to work for what they want in this life. He is a major part of why I am who I am today.
My dad is survived by his loving wife Staciy Lamica-Alfano. My brother Max Alfano of Oregon City OR and his daughter Riley Maxine Alfano who my dad adored as it was his only granddaughter. My older sister Sydney Duenas and her husband Chris Duenas of Tacoma WA. And finally my younger sister Stevie Thomas and husband Cody Thomas of Dallas OR.
My dad lived an amazing life. He got to experience things with all of us that we will carry with us as we go on. I know he is very proud of his family he has here…
I Love you dad forever! You will always be in our hearts.
GO RED SOX!
