Lincoln City and Toledo Police Dispatch Centers getting new dispatcher graduates

Typical 9-1-1 Dispatching positions.

The Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) is pleased to announce the graduation of its 107th Basic Telecommunications Class which included a new 9-1-1 dispatcher for Lincoln City and for one for Toledo.

The two-week course includes emergency call handling techniques, stress management, civil liability, ethics, criminal law, overview of fire-rescue and law enforcement operations, and a number of other topics. Graduating dispatcher Kerri Paxton will return to her 9-1-1 dispatch center in Lincoln City and graduating dispatcher Jennifer Ledbury to her 9-1-1 dispatch center in Toledo where they will continue their training for a number of months with a field training officer.

Basic Telecommunications #BT107 Graduation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018, at the Oregon Public Safety Academy, 4190 Aumsville Hwy SE, Salem, Oregon.
