Lincoln City: Minor wastewater spill Monday afternoon, 1:30pm
Wastewater Spill at 1136 SE Galley Ct, Lincoln City, OR
On Monday, January 8, 2018 at 1:20 PM, there was a wastewater spill at 1136 SE Galley. The wastewater overflow was coming out of the homeowner’s cleanout and entering a catch basin five (5) feet away. The cause of the overflow was due to the City’s mainline being plugged with grease. The amount spilled is estimated to be between 300 – 400 gallons.
The City’s crew cleared the plug and cleaned-up the spill area, then proceeded with the cleaning of the storm basin and downstream line. There was no damage to any property or any effects to the downstream water ways.
