Child Advocate Position Opening at Children’s Advocacy Center of Lincoln County Oregon
Seeking Child Advocate (1.0 FTE) to coordinate and provide direct and compassionate child victim advocacy and support to children and their families who may have suffered abuse (sexual, physical, neglect, drug endangerment, or witness to domestic violence).
The Child Advocate provides information regarding center policies and procedures to child victims and their families. The Advocate accompanies child victims and their families throughout criminal justice proceedings held at the courthouse, and provides referrals and community resource information. The Advocate is a member of the Forensic Intervention Team and serves as the primary support for the Forensic Interviewer and Medical Director at the center.
The Child Advocate is member of Lincoln County Multidisciplinary Team and interacts directly with community partners including law enforcement and child protective services.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related fields such as psychology, child development, social work, or criminal justice, and an additional two to four years of experience working with children is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the abilities to perform the duties of the position.
