The Port of Newport invites you to Celebrate a Century of Service with a special evening at the NOAA Marine Operations Center-Pacific in Newport this Saturday with the “Wild Seafood Night to Remember.” From 4:00pm to 7:00pm will be a very special ticketed NOAA Corps 100th celebration dinner where you will enjoy a wide variety of our wild caught Oregon seafood prepared by six talented professional and award winning amateur chefs. The seafood recipes will include Albacore Tuna, Dungeness Crab, Oregon Pink Shrimp, Rockfish and more!
The evening will also include special Rogue Brewery Craft Ales, wine tasting from the J. Scott Cellars and Noble Estate Winery, delicious side dishes and a fabulous 100th NOAA Corps Anniversary Cake. The Jaguars Owners Club of Oregon will be displaying their classic Jags from the past. All inclusive for $25 per person (21 & over). Photo ID is required to enter the NOAA facility.
Plus a very special program honoring the NOAA Corps 100th Anniversary featuring local dignitaries and from NOAA MOC-P and NOAA national headquarters including Rear Admiral David A. Score.
Proceeds from the Wild Seafood Night to Remember will benefit the Newport Food Pantry/Operation Snackpacks emergency food programs along the NOAA Officer Family Association (NOFA) and Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR) programs.
Tickets can be obtained online at www.wildseafoodnight.com or at the TLC Credit Union in Newport until closing Friday. If any tickets remain they will be sold at the ticket booth at the event.
