Researchers from three continents have together pulled off another mind-blowing scientific breakthrough – this time by fixing an embryo with a damaged gene – among those that would otherwise produce Huntington’s Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, Alzheimer’s Disease and certain forms of breast and ovarian cancer.
Researchers say by inserting a repair enzyme into the embryo, the embryo self-repairs. And their success rate is reported to be around 70%.
