It’s gettin’ to be that time of year again…and it’s all happenin’ up the Yachats River!
ANNUAL YACHATS RIVER VALLEY FARM TOUR SET FOR SATURDAY, AUGUST 12
Seven Yachats River Valley farms will open their gates from 10 AM to 4 PM, Saturday, August 12, to the public for tours and sale of locally produced farm products
To reach these farms, turn off Hwy 101 onto the Yachats River Road near the south end of Yachats and watch for signs indicating which farms are participating. The first farm will be near Mile Post 1 and the last Farm at Mile Post 12.
Tour takers can expect to see cattle, llamas, alpacas, peacocks, horses, chickens and geese among the livestock.. For sale there will be grass-fed beef, plants, peacock feathers, home-baked goods, jams, garden produce and berries. Be sure to visit the many cactus green houses at Mile Post 10 with their amazing varieties of cacti, one of the best collections in the country.
You are invited to bring a picnic lunch and stay awhile. Refreshments will be available at several sites.
