Several callers to 911 reporting a speeding vehicle that has crashed into a power pole in front of 2875 Moonshine Park Road, about 8 miles east of Siletz. One report indicates there was gunfire after the crash. No further information was immediately available.
Responding ambulance requesting Life Flight be put on standby. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies responding. Caller now saying they are pretty sure there was a gunshot after the crash, but it could have been a transformer.
Deputy arriving saying it is an older style pickup resting off the road in a field. Also saying that there are power lines hanging down but not touching the ground.
Deputy telling fire and medical personnel to come to the scene. The driver was going about 55mph and not wearing a seat belt when he lost control. The driver is complaining of neck pain.
Siletz Fire crew reporting the power pole has been severely damaged.
