Also, motorists should always visit ODOT’s TripCheck before hitting the road.

Marine: Winds are light and variable this morning with seas 3 feet at 8 seconds. A fairly typical summertime northwesterly flow pattern will remain in place for much of the next week. Initially the gradient will be more oriented onshore and help keep winds below Small Craft Advisory thresholds. Thermal low pressure may develop enough over Northern California that winds will be more northerly and possibly reach advisory thresholds Sunday and Monday. Winds may weaken after that. Seas will remain below 10 feet for the foreseeable future, though will be choppy with short periods at times. * Full text of the latest marine forecast is available here. And, make sure you check the latest Bar Reports before venturing offshore.

On the Beach… Becoming mostly sunny, surf 2-3 feet (low).
