As the state legislature careens its way down the legislative highway to adjournment July 10th, democrats and republicans are hoping to strike a deal on a multi-billion dollar transportation construction bill. The bill contains the possibilities of motorists paying tolls on I-5 and on certain roadways in the Portland metro, along with higher gas taxes and taxes on new car purchases.
